MoO3 Coated Quartz Crystal Microbalance as a Room Temperature Ammonia Sensing Platform
Summary
Reactively sputtered molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) films turn a quartz crystal microbalance into an ammonia sensor that works at room temperature. The authors report a sensitivity of about 0.06 Hz per ppm, response and recovery in well under a minute at 40 ppm, good selectivity and a stable response over 30 days, pointing to low-cost portable NH3 monitors.
