Investigation of the free-base Zr-porphyrin MOFs as relative humidity sensors for an indoor setting
Summary
Three free-base zirconium porphyrin metal-organic frameworks, MOF-525, MOF-545 and NU-902, are tested as QCM coatings for indoor humidity sensing. All respond well between 40 and 100% RH; MOF-545 holds some water irreversibly after long exposure but repeats well when cycled between 40 and 70% RH, while MOF-525 needs longer to desorb and NU-902 is less sensitive at low humidity.
