Gold Nanoparticle – Assisted Multiharmonic and Multivariate QCM Sensing of miRNA-21
Summary
Detecting microRNA-21 by reading frequency, amplitude and phase on several QCM overtones at once and choosing the most informative features with a physics-informed method. Multiharmonic analysis lowered the detection limit from about 10 nM to 100 pM, and a gold nanoparticle sandwich brought it to 1 pM, with little cross-reaction from other microRNAs.
