Diagnostics of caesium emission from SPIDER caesium oven prototype
Summary
The diagnostic set-up of the caesium test stand used to check the caesium ovens of the SPIDER negative-ion source. Surface ionisation probes and movable detectors map the emission from the nozzles, a quartz microbalance records the cumulative caesium flux and laser absorption spectroscopy gives the line-integrated density; an example of combined measurements is shown.
