advanced scientific instrument

openQCM Next is a real-time analytical instrument based on a surface sensitive technology capable of monitoring phenomena at molecular scale. openQCM Next is sensitive to mass and viscoelastic changes on quartz crystal surface

DDS sweep technology

openQCM Next employs a scalar network analyzer electronic interface for frequency and dissipation monitoring. It utilizes an AD9851 DDS/DAC frequency synthesizer, which generates a sine wave within a frequency range of 0 to 60 MHz. The output signal is then detected by the AD8302 gain and phase detector for accurate readings.

multiple overtones

openQCM NEXT uses multiple QCM overtones measurement, monitoring both frequency and dissipation up to the 9th overtone for detailed sample characterization.

active temperature control

openQCM Next features an integrated Peltier module, providing active temperature control. The bi-directional temperature control operates in a range from 15 °C to 45 °C, with an accuracy of 0.01° C. Temperature control contributes to the stability and repeatability of measurements.
