Real-time kinetic analysis and detection of glycated hemoglobin A1c using a quartz crystal microbalance-based aptasensor
Summary
An aptamer for glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), the long-term diabetes marker, was bound covalently to a QCM crystal through mixed self-assembled monolayers and studied in flow with a portable instrument. The sensor recognised HbA1c specifically, with a dissociation constant of about 58 nM, a linear range of 13–108 nM and a detection limit of about 26 nM.
