Investigation of Interaction of Soft Nanoparticles based Vesicles with Lung Surfactant via Langmuir-Blodgett Trough and Quartz Crystal Microbalance Study
Summary
How do soft, nanoparticle-loaded lipid vesicles interact with lung surfactant? Model surfactant monolayers of DPPC, DMPC and POPC were studied in a Langmuir–Blodgett trough, and supported lipid layers and vesicles were followed on gold-coated quartz crystals, as a first step towards safer in vitro alternatives to experiments on living organisms.
