Flexible immunosensor for the detection of salivary α-amylase in body fluids
Summary
A QCM immunosensor for human salivary α-amylase, a biomarker of disease and stress, with antibodies anchored to gold by UV photochemical immobilisation. A one-step protocol on diluted saliva detects 1 µg/mL (77 U/L); a sandwich step brings the limit below 10 U/L for urine and serum, and results agree with the Phadebas laboratory test.
