MoS2/MXene bilayer quartz crystal microbalance sensor with enhanced sensitivity and selectivity for room-temperature xylene detection
Summary
Xylene sensing at room temperature with QCMs coated with MoS2, MXene and stacked MoS2/MXene films. The bilayer worked best, reaching 2.46 Hz per ppm and a 1.23 ppm detection limit over 2.5–600 ppm, which the authors attribute to charge transfer at the MoS2/MXene junction; humidity lowers the response, so it must be controlled or compensated.
