High-performance formic acid gas detection using a quartz crystal microbalance functionalized with Cdot-decorated polyvinyl acetate nanofibers
Summary
A formic acid vapour sensor made from a QCM coated with electrospun polyvinyl acetate nanofibres and carbon dots. The carbon dots raised the sensitivity about twentyfold, from 0.126 to 2.552 Hz per ppm, with response and recovery in 27 s and 63 s, good selectivity and stable behaviour over 29 days of tests.
