The Quartz Crystal Microbalance for the openQCM project was designed from the experience of our research team — over a decade developing very sensitive mass-sensor systems, distilled into a lightweight, compact, open-source instrument.

> Heritage instrument: the original openQCM is no longer in production; its design stays open for reference.

## The measuring chamber is part of the whole.

Intuitive design means opening the closure sealing without having to unscrew caps or screws. The project came from a multidisciplinary working group — including industrial designer Glenda Torres Guizado for the first openQCM model — giving coherence to concept, form, functionality, and production.

The result is an extremely lightweight, compact system in which the measuring chamber is part of the whole. It also enables the simple, simultaneous use of more than one openQCM at very affordable cost — for parallel or serial analysis, an important improvement for standard QCM analytical possibilities.

## Limitless potential.

Built on the open-source concept, the openQCM case can be adapted to your specific application — which is why we believe the best way to produce it is 3D printing. A 3D-printed plastic openQCM guarantees nominal stability down to 0.1 Hz; for more stringent requirements, a 3D-printed metal case is possible too.
